An Alien Who Calls Australia Home.

4 Agustus 2016 – 4 Agustus 2026.

Today marks ten years since I began my journey as an alien in Australia. Ten years ago, I arrived in this country when my age still started with a 2. Today, that first digit is getting ready to turn into a 4.

From moving through different types of visas to finally being able to say, “Australia is not only a place i dwell, but a place i will grow old.” From counting the years I had been away from home to realizing that somewhere along the way this country becomes home too.

A decade has passed, but today I want to pause for a moment – to be still, to breathe, and to hold close the chapter of my life that has unfolded over the past ten years.
